What are TikTok stories?

TikTok is testing a new feature called TikTok Stories to experiment with this format. We have looked into this new feature and have the full scoop. Here's everything you need to know about TikTok Stories.

Many social media platforms, such as Snapchat, Facebook, and Instagram allow you to post stories on your profile which are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Some users of TikTok now have the ability to use this feature. You can see who has viewed your story in a separate tab next to the comments section if you share it on TikTok. Your profile picture will be surrounded by a blue ring, which indicates to other users that they are able to tap to view your Stories. Publicly responding and commenting will also be possible.

Please note that you won't see Stories shared by users if you don't yet have access to TikTok Stories.

You can add captions and music to a story. These last 24 hours before they are gone.

- Make sure you have chosen "Quick" below the pink record button.

- You can either record a video right there or upload it from your camera roll.

- Stories videos have the same creation options as normal TikTok videos.

You can view the story of someone by going to their profile. If their photo has a blue circle surrounding it, tap it to see what they have shared.

Stories can also be displayed on the left side. Stories can be viewed by viewers. You can also react to and comment on them.

TikTok Stories is a great way to increase engagement and build a stronger TikTok community.

The TikTok For You Page displays content from all TikTok accounts, but the story panel only shows stories from the accounts that users follow. This is a major difference!
